SAYS Dr Anthony Ebere Ewelike PhD Calls On Those Aligning And Realigning Against The Governor To Put Imo First
An environmental scientist and consultant, Dr Anthony Ebere Ewelike, PhD, has asserted that with the strategic leadership and socioeconomic reforms in Imo State, nothing can hinder Governor Hope Uzodimma desired plans in installing a successor come 2027/2028.
Dr Ewelike made the observation in Owerri, the Imo State capital, in swift response to clandestine political alignments and realignments towards frustrating the efforts of the Imo State governor, as 2027/2028 draws closer.
The environmental scientist however called on those plotting to scuttle the smooth transition to queue behind the 3-R Administration led by Governor Uzodimma to ensure there is a rancour-free installation of a successor.
He noted that *"both ex governors Achike Udenwa and Rochas Okorocha failed to install successors due to lack of political will, greed and failure in putting lasting infrastructure, as legacies, in place, which would have culminated in the citizens of Imo State rallying behind them to achieve their dreams, hence they failed".*
According to the Oforola, Owerri-West born intellectual, *"Governor Hope Uzodimma has laid solid foundation in infrastructure, administration, taming the monster of insecurity, prompt payment of salary of workers, connecting the state to the National political epicenter, facilitating the accreditation of courses in Imo State University, facilitating the upgrading of Alvan Ikoku College of Education to a Federal University of Education, facilitating the upgrading of the Federal Medical Centre to a Teaching Hospital, tackling erosion menace, working to ensure 24 hr uninterrupted power supply, recovery of stolen and diverted Public property by past administrations and so on and so forth".*
Noting further, Dr Anthony Ebere Ewelike said, *"with all these selfless pursuits of the Governor to better Imo State, anybody or group of persons aligning and realigning against the continuity of the Shared Prosperity leadership of Governor Hope Uzodimma in 2027/2028 should be seen as saboteurs. All these strategic leadership and socioeconomic reforms going on in the state is the sure banker that Governor Uzodimma will successfully install his successor in 2027/2028".
Dr Ewelike therefore called on political leaders to rather put Imo State first in all their doings, by focusing on how to take it to greater heights, as Governor Uzodimma is currently doing.
