UBEC Delivers Educational Palliatives to Indigent Communities in Oforola, Owerri West

OFOROLA, OWERRI WEST - In a bid to support education in disadvantaged areas, the Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC), Abuja, has delivered educational palliatives to indigent communitie in Oforola, Owerri West.

The initiative, facilitated by Crown Prince Okey Okoro Odum Oforola, aims to provide essential educational resources and infrastructure support to students and teachers in the region.

According to UBEC representatives, the palliatives include textbooks, notebooks, pencils, and other learning aids, as well as infrastructure support for classroom renovation and furniture provision.

"The Universal Basic Education Commission is committed to supporting education in disadvantaged areas and ensuring that all students have access to quality learning opportunities," said a UBEC representative.

Crown Prince Okey Okoro Odum Oforola emphasized the importance of education in community development, stating, "This initiative represents a significant step forward in our efforts to promote education and community development in Oforola, Owerri West."

The project's focus on community engagement and participation is expected to empower local communities, promoting a sense of ownership and responsibility for educational development.
