Police Launch Investigation into Suspicious Death
Abuja, Nigeria - A gruesome discovery was made at a hotel in Gwarinpa, Abuja, yesterday, as the body of a lady was found with her hands tied behind her back. The deceased, identified as Aladi Offikwu Johnson, also known as Tessy, from Benue State, had checked into the hotel on June 16, 2025, accompanied by an unidentified man.
According to eyewitnesses, the man left the hotel premises alone, leaving Tessy behind. Hotel staff discovered her unconscious body during routine service rounds and promptly notified the police. Medical personnel later confirmed her death.
The FCT Police Command has launched a full-scale investigation into the incident, with operatives launching a manhunt for the male partner who accompanied Tessy to the hotel. The Commissioner of Police for the FCT, CP Ajao S. Adewale, has ordered a thorough and discreet investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
The police have sealed the hotel premises as investigations continue, and key hotel staff are being questioned. The case is being treated as a possible robbery and homicide.
As the investigation unfolds, the police are appealing to anyone with information about the incident to come forward and assist with the inquiry.
